LAPD officer Joe has a passion for arresting women, handcuffing them and killing them. He's a serial police killer getting away with murder, since his buddies at precinct 707 always cover for him. His killing rampage might have gone on forever, had it not been for 17-year-old Romy, who heard about women disappearing in her neighborhood and asks several Voodoo Priestesses to protect her from Evil. When officer Joe gets a hold of her, his fortunes turn around, and he is suddenly haunted by a violent group of female Zombies seeking revenge.
An official selection in the 2005 Cannes Film festival, GUS VAN SANT'S LAST DAYS is inspired by the final hours of Kurt Cobain. The film introduces us to Blake (Michael Pitt, The Dreamers), a brilliant, but troubled musician. Success has left him in a lonely place, where livelihoods rest on his shoulders and old friends regularly tap him for money and favors. The film follows Blake through a handful of hours spent in and near his wooded home... a fugitive from his own life.

Thicker waistlines and thinner dialogue don't stop I Spy Returns from being an enjoyable reunion for the stars of the hip '60s TV series. From 1965 to 1968, Bill Cosby and Robert Culp were the ultimate "salt and pepper" duo, playing super-spies Scott and Robinson (respectively) in a show that combined Mission: Impossible intrigue with witty banter and effortless biracial chemistry (at a time when such pairings were still considered experimental). A quarter-century later, Culp was still delightfully acerbic, Cosby had become a TV icon, and I Spy Returns gave them a happy excuse to wreak havoc in Vienna, where Robinson's son (George Newbern) and Scott's daughter (Salli Richardson) are freshly minted spies subjected to unwanted fatherly meddling. It's TV fluff from start to finish, but Cosby and Culp are still cool together, even when they're buck-naked captives of a sniveling British mercenary. It ain't pretty, but it's sure to get a laugh. --Jeff Shannon
Apparently aware that the plot of this 1999 broadcast series has degenerated into a hopeless muddle, the filmmakers devote most of "Shadow" to flashbacks and long explanations of what's been going on. But at the end of the episode, they shoot themselves in the foot by adding more characters and further complications. Lamia/Betterman fights Bodaiju, a monklike character who recalls Ancient in Ronin Warriors. Bodaiju insists Algernon and the chaotic goings-on in Japan must be due to Kankei and urges Lamia to obey Pakila; Lamia replies he's acting "to protect our hope." Presumably the significance of the argument will be revealed in later episodes. "Revelation" and "Dream" consist largely of nightmares within dreams within other dreams, until no one can tell what's actually going on and the cast has to be rescued by the mysterious Yakusugi. Unfortunately, he doesn't make house calls. (Rated 13 and older: violence, grotesque imagery, alcohol use) --Charles Solomon
You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!
Wow! I really loved the movie Betterman - Inhuman Nature. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Kappei Yamaguchi deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.
I also think Takehito Koyasu was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie. When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.
I think Kappei Yamaguchi and Takehito Koyasu worked wonderful in Betterman - Inhuman Nature. The great supporting cast includes Kappei Yamaguchi, Takehito Koyasu, Kyko Hikami, Junko Iwao, Dave Pettitt.
